How To Build IT 2025

HOW TO BUILD IT - Issue 8

In SuperYacht Times’ most recent special publication HOW TO BUILD IT, we shared our vision on what we believe to be a major shift in the superyacht industry: the growing demand for more tenders and toys — and the increasing complexity of integrating them into a yacht’s ship structure.

At Sea Level, we've embraced this challenge and made it our specialty. We call it Feature Integration Technology - FIT.

The impact of impact

HIGH SPEED BOAT OPERATIONS Forum - 2025

This year’s HSBO Forum revolved around one central theme: impact.
More specifically: human exposure to impact, impact-induced injuries, the effects of impact on operational readiness, and the role of human factors and cockpit ergonomics. No fewer than three internationally renowned professors shared their scientific insights on the subject.

In addition to the lectures, we explored practical approaches to managing and mitigating impact — hands-on, out on the waters of the Göta River. And let’s be honest: those were far from smooth rides.

The truth is, the consequences of impact are hard to overstate. For instance, a 1G hull impact translates to a 2.5G force on the body — and an astonishing 5G force on the head and brain. Take a moment to let that sink in…

It’s precisely this reality that drives us at Sea Level to take the issue of impact extremely seriously. We are continually searching for innovative ways to reduce physical health risks for both crew members and passengers
